Apart from the challenges of Covid 19, which slowed down many activities, the economic downturn of our environment was also very impactful. In spite of these challenges, the regional body was able to organise conferences in Douala, Cameroon, Benin City, Nigeria and Cape Coast in Ghana. The conferences were well attended and three volumes of The Griot, the official journal of the Association, have been published. We are currently trying to find new members in Ivory Coast, Benin Republic, Sierra Leone and Liberia. We are hopeful that we will be able to take the next conference to Benin Republic. We have issued communiques from all the conferences and have interfaced with Government and other NGOs on the issues of Postcoloniality and societal developments. I am happy to report that we have attracted some attention on account of these efforts.
